sign-ups will be open until April 10. There are four towns in Connecticut that are
participating. Thirty-six homes are registered.
Ongoing Business
Outreach/Cooperative Efforts
The commission participated in the Old Lyme Visiting Nurse
Association’s annual health day at Christ the King Church. The
event took place on November 1.
George proposed two projects to several LOLHS teachers:
- the photo project which would bring science of the natural world to students
through their camera lenses and could culminate in students entering their work in the Land Trust’s annual photo contest
- a public service project that would require students to take land records
and find and mark boundaries.
Rogers Lake
Maureen will invite Keith Rosenfeld, the Inland Wetlands Enforcement Officer, to the
December meeting. Members are interested in learning specifics on the rules
and regulations.
There will be an informal meeting with the town sanitarian on November 20 at 5 p.m.
at the town hall. Items for discussion include a septic program, shallow well
identification and possible courses of action regarding drawdowns.
The meeting adjourned at 8:50 pm.
